AmbiSynk Lite Privacy Policy
AmbiSynk Lite is a Windows desktop application for controlling compatible AmbiSynk USB RGB ambient lighting hardware. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.
AmbiSynk Lite is designed to run locally on your PC. The app does not sell personal information and does not use advertising tracking.
Key Privacy Statements
- Screen capture is used only for real-time ambient lighting color synchronization.
- Audio input is used only for local music-reactive lighting effects.
- USB/HID access is used only to communicate with compatible AmbiSynk lighting hardware.
- AmbiSynk Lite does not upload screen content, audio content, or personal files to our servers.
Information Processed Locally
AmbiSynk Lite may process the following information on your PC:
- Screen color samples used to generate ambient lighting effects.
- Audio signal data used for music-reactive lighting effects.
- USB-HID device identifiers needed to detect and control compatible AmbiSynk hardware.
- App settings, lighting profiles, language preferences, and device layout settings.
- Runtime logs, crash logs, and diagnostic reports used for troubleshooting.
Screen and audio processing is used to calculate lighting output. AmbiSynk Lite does not save screenshots, videos, raw audio recordings, or microphone recordings as part of normal operation.
Screen Sampling
When screen-reactive lighting modes are enabled, AmbiSynk Lite samples colors from your display and converts those colors into LED output data for compatible hardware. The app uses this data locally for lighting effects.
Audio Processing
When music-reactive modes are enabled, AmbiSynk Lite may analyze local audio output or selected audio sources to produce lighting effects. This analysis is performed locally. The app does not store raw audio recordings.
USB Device Access
AmbiSynk Lite communicates with compatible AmbiSynk USB RGB devices through USB-HID. The app may read device identifiers, connection status, and capability information required for device detection and lighting control.
Logs and Diagnostics
AmbiSynk Lite may create local runtime logs, crash logs, and diagnostic reports under the user's local application data folder. These logs are used to diagnose app startup, device connection, lighting output, crash, and performance issues.
Logs may include app version, Windows environment details, display information, selected settings, device connection status, error messages, and short runtime log excerpts. Logs are stored locally unless you choose to send them to AmbiSynk support.
Feedback and Support
If you contact support or submit diagnostic information, the information you provide may be used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. Support contact: support@ambisynk.com.
The Microsoft Store build keeps online chat and automated feedback endpoints disabled unless they are explicitly enabled in a later published version and described in this policy.
Updates
For Microsoft Store builds, app updates should be delivered through the Microsoft Store submission flow. External self-update URLs should not be enabled in Store builds.
Data Sharing
AmbiSynk Lite does not sell personal information. Diagnostic information is shared with AmbiSynk only if you choose to send it for support.
Data Retention
Local settings and logs remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Support messages and diagnostic information sent to AmbiSynk may be retained as needed to provide support, maintain product quality, and meet legal obligations.
Children's Privacy
AmbiSynk Lite is not directed to children under 13. The app is intended for general PC lighting control use.
